Mission Statement of the Department of Languages
The Weston College Language Department aims to train students who have a strong sense of cultural identity and who also have a global cultural awareness. Our English and French programs are rigorous and authentic and equip students with the tools they will need to think critically while developing the necessary skills to communicate effectively. Our curricula focus on grammar, vocabulary, listening, speaking, reading and writing. Students are also prepared for the rigors of the Cambridge and DELF Junior certification process.
Weston students are evaluated at the beginning of each academic year to determine their level of English according to the Common European Framework (CEF). We firmly believe that our students should not attend English according to their age, but their level of knowledge of the language; That is why our language program is distributed in 6 levels:
- A1: Beginner
- A1+ to A2: Elementary
- A2+ to B1: Pre-Intermediate
- B1: Intermediate
- B2: Upper-intermediate
- B2+ to C1: Advance

Mission statement of the French classes of Weston College
Our goal in French classes is to have attractive, fun and effective activities for each of the students. Our teaching staff works closely with the students, to provide them with a rigorous program in which they improve their skills and confidence in the language proficiency.
Similarly, we strive to encourage students to want to know more about French culture. As teachers, we are also dedicated to preparing students for the DELF Junior certification, encouraging the progress of young people in the four skills included in their evaluation: reading, writing, oral expression and listening comprehension.
The Weston College, therefore, offers a multilingual and intercultural program, which each year ends with the presentation in the official exams of Cambridge and DELF, and an exchange trip in the month of July where, among others, they will have the opportunity to visit France, Switzerland, Belgium or Canada.
