We have a key question to understand in Secondary Education, and the educational and personal stage that occurs in our youth: For what? Weston School answers that question, from constructivism and a vanguardist educational system we have as a task to offer the necessary way for students to develop as a unique and constantly evolving person (humanistic approach); how to be responsible, free and critical (anthropological-social scientific approach); that their environment is questioned (experimental scientific approach); contributing values to the world, respecting nature, its body and appreciating beauty in its diversity (artistic, sports, activist and environmentalist approach); and, in summary, being a whole being (holistic approach). We work based on two methodological principles:
Project Based: as a School, we have an interdisciplinary and transversal project. The students work through projects from their particularity. Learning from the beginning to the end to carry out a task, where knowledge is not only practical for the future, but for the continuous present.
Problem Solving: the tendency to see problems as something negative has to be modified. A problem is a research question. We work from the scientific method to answer the questions prior to any discovery in humanity: Why? For what? How? Our model is based on being constantly questioning, instead of giving answers.
